Old School Patapsco

I haven't ridden up at Patapsco for too long, almost a year. I felt the "pull" on this cold, sunny day and hit it.



Temps here have not topped 30 degrees for a few weeks and the river shows all the signs of it. But the trails were in great shape. Rocks up high, ice down below in the creeks.


This guy was launching off of stuff down by the river and gave me a tour of the Lewis & Clark trail. He, clad in jeans, a hoodie and skate shoes, and me, donned head to toe in lycra. The contrast could not have been sharper. Although there was a good 20 years between us, young buck and I had one thing in common. We are grinning ear to ear, flying through the woods!

Riding inside pretty much sucks. But, there is good news. The garage is tidy and my socks match.
